Wally Ethiopia
was set up in 2006 as a registered charity and emerges with a new innovative approach to tackle unemployment, social exclusion,
and deprivation of the Ethiopian and Eritrean communities in Southwark. The organisation’s aims to relief the socio-economic
impact on disadvantaged people in particularly Ethiopians; through the provision of general advice, social welfare, and educational
support.
Wally Ethiopia
undertakes different activities to its users including access to employment, counselling services, provide IT support, ESOL
classes and after school programmes and other activities around health, education etc.
Since Wally Ethiopia
joined SRCF it participated in a number of activities such as communication training, attended forum meetings, community council
meetings and training on funding surgeries. Some of the benefits that the organisation gained by becoming a member of the
forum are access to information and advise on fundraising and how effectively running the organisation and networking with
other charitable and statutory organisations.
